作为中国最有影响力的70后雕塑家之一，谢艾格以其异想天开的、精雕细琢的雕塑而闻名。她的作品常常覆盖着明亮的乳白色或闪亮的黑色，捕捉人和大自然微妙的瞬间。谢艾格说，对童趣的忠诚与逍遥自在的追求共同栖息在她的身体里，连接起两者的那股真与纯粹是流淌在谢艾格血液里的，深入作品的每一寸的·谢艾格为她的人物们构造了一个诗意的世界里，填满了她浪漫的思绪·在那里没有规矩的束缚，唯一的准则便是随心。如果说太极和瑜伽系列中的谢艾格尝试用心去感知本我，是一种潜意识的修行，当她将目光重新投向生命、人性本质这类最原始简单的母题时便诞生了扶王山、逍遥游一类的作品·此时的她已经看见了自己的心，悟出了何为“空”的境界。谢艾格，1977年出生于中国湖南，学习于上海大学美术学院，曾任教于上海同济大学人文与艺术设计系，现职业艺术家，中国陶瓷艺术家协会会员，上海工艺美术设计协会会员。她的作品曾多次参加国内外重要机构展览以及国际艺术博览会，获得热烈反响，包括巴塞尔艺博会(迈阿密，香港)、洛杉矶国际艺博会、阿姆斯特丹双年展、成都蓝顶美术馆、刘海粟美术馆、上海多伦现代美术馆等。
As one of the most influential sculptors born in the 1970s in China, Xie Aige is known for his whimsical and meticulously crafted sculptures. Often covered in bright opalescent whites or shimmering blacks, her works capture subtle moments of people and nature. Xie Aige said, her loyalty to childishness and her pursuit of freedom co-inhabit her body, and the truth and purity that connect the two flow through her body. With Xie Aige in her blood and penetrating into every inch of her works, Xie Aige constructed a poetic world for her characters, filled with her romantic thoughts, where there are no rules and the only rule is to follow your heart. If Xie Aige in the Tai Chi and Yoga series tries to perceive herself with her heart, it is a kind of subconscious practice. When she turns her sights again to the most primitive and simple motifs such as life and the nature of human nature, Fuwang Mountain, Works such as Xiaoyaoyou·At this time, she has seen her own heart and realized what the realm of "emptiness" is. Xie Aige, born in Hunan, China in 1977, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University, and once taught at the Department of Humanities and Art Design of Tongji University in Shanghai. He is now a professional artist, a member of the Chinese Ceramic Artists Association, and a member of the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Design Association. 铜雕中体型丰满的女人们正在做瑜伽。女人眼睛眯着，面部表情宁静舒展，短裙包裹住圆润的身体线条，表现一种身体的奇异平衡。这系列作品的灵感来源于谢艾格的瑜伽老师，艺术家被她身体的柔韧和轻盈深深吸引，试图以能泛出微微光泽的铜像还原女人身体的温润优美。 Bronze sculptures are depicting a chubby woman doing the asana. Her dress is carefully worked with the drapes. Xie managed to add a little mystery and sense of calm to the woman with her face barely carved by the artist. The inspiration of this series comes from Xie’s yoga coach. Xie is looking for the answer in my own way. It's infinite yet ultimate. The Innocence, pureness and serenity embedded in the Taichi philosophy can be found in the simple contour and rounded lines of the figure. The figure indicates the unadorned and calm inner world of Taichi practitioners. “Fu Wang Mountain” series is about the mountains in Xie's hometown. Beautiful yet sad stories happened at FuWang Mountain all the time. Although She have left her hometown, she can always remember it. The mountain in her hometown gave her lots of encourage,energy and happiness. 傻根以攀爬的姿势立于一个苹果上，他嘴角向下表情疲惫。对于谢艾格来说，苹果象征欲望，在这系列作品中的每个苹果都是极其明艳饱和的色彩——红色象征幸福，金色象征愤怒，蓝色象征忧郁，绿色象征相思，紫色象征苦难与恐惧。Xie’s most famous character ‘Shagen’is stepping on an apple with his typical smiling face or a peaceful look.For Xie, the apple stands for desire. She applied on each apple a saturated color to highlight its pureness.
