上海油罐艺术中心安静地呈现黛博拉-乔伊斯·霍尔曼（Deborah-Joyce Holman）在亚洲的首个个展“特写/密语空间”。多学科艺术家黛博拉-乔伊斯·霍尔曼在为T馆特别策划的全新三频道装置中呈现了他最新的同名动态影像作品。

 “特写/密语空间”完全剥离了叙事结构，展现了两个容易被视为过渡的场景。这正是黛博拉-乔伊斯·霍尔曼作品的代表性特征：他运用日常琐事作为对抗黑人生活中那些常被视为奇观的反作用力，并将这种表现作为重新谈判自主性概念的工具。霍尔曼的艺术实践涉及视觉文化、种族和酷儿问题的深刻探讨，这些都在更广泛的经济和符号机制背景下影响了他的艺术创作方式。

该展览得到瑞士文化基金会上海办公室给予艺术家的旅行支持。

● 跨级社区

上海油罐艺术中心隆重呈现群展“跨级社区”。展览将目光瞄准最能体现“共同体时代”特征的艺术家群体：具有鲜明的非单一文化背景且出生在信息技术革命之后的华裔艺术家。本次展览由独立策展人陈鋆尧策展。

此展览也是乔空间的艺术项目。

本次展览开幕，我们组织了一场策展人与艺术家的车轮对谈：由策展人陈鋆尧主持，参展的9位艺术家参与对谈。

● Close-up/Quiet as it's kept

TANK Shanghai quietly presents “Close-up/Quiet as it's kept,” Deborah-Joyce Holman’s first solo exhibition in Asia, supported by Pro Helvetia Shanghai, the Swiss Arts Council.

The multidisciplinary artist Deborah-Joyce Holman presents their eponymous recent moving image work in a new three channel installation conceived especially for Tank T. 

Close-Up/Quiet as it’s kept, stripped entirely of narrative structure, portrays two scenes that could easily be discarded as transitional. This is representative of Deborah-Joyce Holman’s work: they deploy the mundane as a counterforce against the spectacle Black life is often represented as and as a tool to re-negotiate the notion of agency in the creation of said representation. Holman’s practice engages critical discourse on visual culture, race and queerness, all of which inform their approach of artmaking as a node within a wider context of economic and semiotic mechanisms.

● SUPERCROWDS/ SUPERCOMMUNITY

TANK Shanghai and Qiao Space jointly present the group exhibition the group exhibition “SUPERCROWDS/ SUPERCOMMUNITY.” This exhibition focuses on artist groups that best embody the characteristics of the "era of communities": Chinese descent artists with distinct multicultural backgrounds who were born during or after the information technology revolution. The exhibition is curated by independent curator Junyao Chen.

This exhibition is also an art project of Qiao Space.

For the opening of this exhibition, we have organized a rounds talk, hosted by curator Junyao Chen, featuring conversations with the nine participating artists. This series of dialogues will also be live-streamed on the TANK Shanghai's official WeChat video channel.
