Foreword
从昔日海上丝绸之路的千年渔港蜕变至今,深圳已化身为一座现代化、国际化的滨海都市,编织着人与自然和谐共生的新故事。在这里,城市文明与海洋文明在此交相辉映,共同书写着焕新深圳海洋文脉活力、传承着深厚海洋历史人文底蕴的壮丽画卷。此次展览,我们遴选了近百件深圳美术馆的典藏作品,以海洋为起点,分为“形式· 和声”“色彩·旋律”两个篇章,通过绘画与摄影艺术的视角来观看、感受和表达“水”。
Evolving from the millennium-old fishing port along the Maritime Silk Road in the past, Shenzhen has now transformed into a modern and international coastal metropolis, spinning a new tale of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature. Here, urban civilization and maritime civilization interact and shine together, jointly composing a magnificent panorama, which mirrors the revitalization of Shenzhen's marine culture and its heritage of profound marine history and culture. For this exhibition, nearly 100 works from the collection of Shenzhen Art Museum have been carefully selected. Starting from the ocean, these works are divided into two sections: "Form·Harmony" and "Color·Melody". Through the perspectives of painting and photography art, we aim to observe, feel, and express the many faces of "water".
“形式·和声”展示了不同年代艺术家运用各种媒材呈现水的多元形式,从中我们也可以感受到东西方绘画样式的差异。中国画在表现水时,注重意境与形态的融合,画家们以墨色的浓淡干湿,通过细腻的笔触和巧妙的留白,赋予水以生命力与诗意。西方绘画则善于运用透视原理、光影效果及色彩冷暖对比,以多层次的笔触和细腻的色彩变化,精确捕捉水的动态与质感。
"Form·Harmony" showcases the diverse forms in which artists of different generations present water by using various media, highlighting the differences between Eastern and Western painting styles. In Chinese painting, when depicting water, great emphasis is placed on the integration of artistic conception and form. Chinese painters endow water with vitality and poetic charm through the use of ink in different shades of thickness and wetness, as well as through delicate brushstrokes and clever use of blank space. Western painting, on the other hand, is adept at applying the principles of perspective, light-and-shadow effects, and color temperature contrast. With multi-layered brushstrokes and subtle color variations, it accurately captures the movement and texture of water.
“色彩·旋律”邀请观者走进一个视觉与听觉交融的空间,体会绘画色彩与音乐旋律之间深刻而微妙的联系,色彩与线条的交织仿佛乐章中的音符与节奏,时而激昂,时而舒缓。色彩不仅是视觉的呈现,更是情感的载体,调动起感官联觉和通感,使观者在欣赏画作的同时,仿佛也能聆听到其中蕴含的旋律与节奏。
"Color·Melody" invites viewers to step into a space where vision and hearing blend, to experience the profound and delicate connection between painting colors and musical melodies. The interweaving of colors and lines is like the notes and rhythms in a musical movement, sometimes intense and sometimes gentle. Color is not only a visual manifestation but also an emotional vehicle, triggering sensory synesthesia, allowing viewers to seemingly hear the melody and rhythm contained within the paintings as they admire them.
诗人里尔克在《布里格随笔》中写道:“我们必须观看许多城市,观看人和物……到寂静、沉闷的小屋内的白昼和海滨的黎明,想到海的一般,想到许多的海,想到旅途之夜,在这些夜里万籁齐鸣,群星飞舞。”愿在此的审美体验成为您心中的美好回忆。
The poet Rainer Maria Rilke (1875-1926) wrote in The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge, "One must see a great many cities, people and things ... days in peacefully secluded rooms and mornings beside the sea, and the sea itself, seas, nights on journeys that swept by on high and flew past filled with stars –and still it is not enough to be able to bring all this to mind." May the aesthetic experience here become a wonderful memory in your heart.

Shenzhen Art Museum has consistently focused on collecting in alignment with its academic objectives, gradually establishing a distinctive collection that encompasses classic works by renowned Chinese painters, fine printmaking, contemporary oil paintings, local art from Shenzhen, and photography from the region. In his reply to a letter by veteran experts and artists from the National Art Museum of China, President Xi Jinping called for "painstaking efforts on the part of the museum to improve the quality of its collection, promote its utilization level of artworks, and provide better services."Collections serve as the cornerstone of a museum, providing a vital foundation for its academic research, exhibition curation, educational outreach, and international exchanges. The pursuit of high-quality collections is instrumental in fostering the museum's professional advancement and sustainable high-quality development. Under its refreshed academic mandate of "Rooted in the Local, Facing the World; Anchored in the Present, Looking to the Future" Shenzhen Art Museum has launched a new "Here Unfolds the Beauty" Exhibition Series of Shenzhen Art Museum Collections. The title "Here Unfolds the Beauty" is inspired by a calligraphic piece, "Here Is Unfolding the Beauty," gifted to the museum in 1986 by the esteemed artist Cheng Shifa, symbolizing the convergence of beauty within these walls. This series will leverage the museum's extensive collection, delving deeply into the academic significance of its various segments, and will periodically curate exhibitions to foster new energies in guiding social ethos and sustaining cultural heritage, thereby propelling the museum sector into a new era of advancement.
