The Artistic Ecological Interconnection between the Greater Bay Area and the Shanghai Metropolitan Area

在今年西岸博览会的论坛单元中，我们邀请了五位嘉宾展开关于“粤港澳大湾区与上海大都市圈的艺术生态互联”的深入探讨。此次论坛将由策展人曹峪主持，参与嘉宾包括艺术家倪志琪，华艺国际拍卖总裁助理滕昆，K11中国区项目管理及合作部负责人，公关公司创始人、当代艺术收藏家Alex Tang，以及艺森空间创始人兼艺术总监Kelly He。随着全球化进程的推进，粤港澳大湾区和上海大都市圈这两大区域在艺术生态上的互联日益紧密。本次对话不仅关注这两大核心区域如何通过展览、收藏、拍卖等形式推动当代艺术的发展，还将讨论艺术市场中的新兴趋势及挑战。嘉宾们将从各自的经验出发，探索如何在艺术产业的各个环节建立更多协同合作，揭示粤港澳与上海艺术生态之间的互补与共生关系。

In this year's WestBund Forum, we have invited five guests to discuss "The Interconnection of the Art Ecologies of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Shanghai Metropolitan Area". The forum will be moderated by curator Cao Yu, and will include artists Ni Zhiqi, Teng Kun, Assistant to the President of Huayi International Auction, Wang Dong, Head of Project Management and Partnerships, K11 China, Alex Tang, Founder of Public Relations and contemporary art collector, and Kelly He, Founder and Director of ISM Art Space. Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shanghai Metropolitan Area are becoming increasingly interconnected in terms of art ecology as globalisation progresses. This dialogue will not only focus on how these two core regions promote contemporary art through exhibitions, collections and auctions, but also discuss emerging trends and challenges in the art market. From their own experiences, the guests will explore how to establish more synergies in various aspects of the art industry, revealing the complementary and symbiotic relationship between the art ecosystems of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and Shanghai.

嘉宾 Guest Speakers

倪志琪，1957 年出生于中国上海。80 年代以超现实主义和立体主义风格的绘画， 在 85 新潮美术运动中崭露头角。90年代初前往比利时安特卫普皇家美术学院研究生院留学深造，斩获比利时卡雷尔 · 维斯拉特（Karel Veslat）艺术展一等奖。现任教于华东师范大学，工作和生活于上海。

Born in 1957 in Shanghai, China, he made a name for himself in the 85 New Wave art movement in the 80s with his surrealist and cubist paintings. In the early 1990s, he went to Antwerp, Belgium to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, where he won the first prize at the Karel Veslat Art Exhibition.  He now teaches at the East China Normal University and lives and works in Shanghai.

滕昆，先后任职于《Hi艺术》、Hi艺术中心、华艺国际拍卖及和美术馆，负责媒体及空间运营，担任私人及机构收藏顾问。活跃于行业一线，关注湾区艺术生态。现任职华艺国际拍卖总裁助理，兼管现当代业务。

He has worked for Hi Art, Hi Art Centre, Huayi International Auction and He Art Museum, responsible for media and space operation, as well as serving as a consultant for private and institutional collections. He is active in the industry and is concerned about the art ecology in the Bay Area. Currently, he is the Assistant to the President of Huayi International Auction, in charge of the modern and contemporary business.

王东，工作、生活于粤港澳大湾区。现任K11中国区项目管理及合作部负责人，曾任何香凝美术馆策展人。致力于国内外当代艺术展览策划、批评、研究、国际交流与文化管理。自2007开始，王东一直从事中国当代艺术的策划、批评与编辑，多次受邀前往美国、英国、德国、法国、挪威、荷兰、意大利、日本、新加坡、韩国、泰国等国外艺术机构进行艺术考察、驻地与交流，并以一种全球化的国际文化视野持续关注当下极具实验性与前瞻性的当代艺术和年轻艺术家的创作。王东认为策展人应在自身的策展实践中，充分平衡“策展视角与公众兴趣”间的依存关系，以力求创造一种新型的策展实践来有效改善艺术机构与观众间的互动。2018年加入K11之后，王东基于自身丰富的策展实践，多次带领团队完成了一系列重要的国内外艺术展览的策划与商业运营，试图在“艺术与商业”所构建的新型语境之下，探索二者间的角逐、博弈与共生关系，并重新审视策展的角色，探寻策展赋能商业、助力知识生产的新的方法论，从而有效激发当代艺术的多元发声。

Wang Dong, works and lives in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. He is currently the Head of Project Management & Partnership Department of K11 in China, and was the curator of He Xiangning Art Museum in Shenzhen, China from 2008 to 2018. He is dedicated to curating, critic, research and international culture exchange and research of Chinese contemporary art in China and overseas. Since 2007, Wang Dong has been involved in Chinese contemporary art as a curator, critic and editor, and has been invited to the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and other foreign art institutions for art visits, residencies and exchanges, and has been focusing on contemporary art and young artist creations with a globalized and international cultural vision that is highly critical, experimental and forward-looking. Wang Dong is convinced that art curator should balance his/her/they curatorial vision with public interests in order to create a new type of curatorial practice to help the art institution better its interaction with the audience. After joined K11 in 2018, based on his rich curatorial practice, Wang Dong has repeatedly led his team to accomplish a series of important domestic and international art exhibitions and commercial operations. He devotes himself to re-examine the role of curating, to explore the competition, gaming, and symbiotic relationship between "art and business" under the new context constructed by the two. He is trying to explore the new methodology of how curating empower business and shape the knowledge production, so as to effectively enable multiple voices in contemporary art. 

出生于韩国首尔，于美国艺术中心设计学院、中国中央美术学院取得艺术创作学位。2015年，Alex Tang创立了Act of Assembly（简称AofA）品牌营销策略及创意公司，2020年，在首尔创建给AofA企业分部，因之前在香港和台北的工作经历，AofA的业务版图自中国及韩国，延伸至东亚。2020年，他创立了高级珠宝品牌MAISONALT，怀揣对设计艺术的热情，及多年来对市场及年轻世代的消费洞察，创造了许多精彩作品。2018年起，Alex Tang专注于国内外当代艺术的收藏，并且关注多元化的动态。

之前在香港和台北有工作经验，将网络扩展到亚洲地区。

Alex Tang was born in Seoul, Korea, graduated from the Art Centre College of Design in Los Angeles, USA, also furthered his study in Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. Founded Act of Assembly (AofA) Communication Agency in 2015. The agency specializes in brand marketing and communication strategy and creative services, and established the AofA Seoul office in 2020 and with the previous work experience in Hong Kong and Taipei, the agency is to extend the networks in North Asia region. In 2020, founded a high jewelry brand MAISONALT, with a passion for design and art and creating many wonderful works, as well as many years of market insight in the younger generation. Since 2018, Alex Tang has focused on collecting of contemporary art both domestically and internationally, and interest in diversity.

Kelly HE 毕业于香港理工大学硕士，在香港大学学习西方艺术史，拥有丰富的艺术策展和艺术品顾问经验。曾经工作于香港国际拍卖行和国际画廊，为国内外企业与个人提供专业的艺术品收藏建议与家居搭配方案。现为艺森空间的创始人与艺术总监。曾经在北京、深圳、广州与香港策划多场重要的艺术展览与国内外艺博会展览。

Kelly HE graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Master's Degree and studied Western Art History at the University of Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in art curation and artwork consultancy. She used to work for international auction houses and galleries in Hong Kong, providing professional art collection advice and home furnishing solutions to corporations and individuals at home and abroad. She is now the founder and Art Director of ArtSpace. She has curated many important art exhibitions in Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, as well as domestic and international art fairs.

1983年，出生于北京，毕业于中央美术学院人文学院和国家行政学院，公共管理硕士（MPA），先后工作于中国美术馆、今日美术馆、中央美术学院美术馆等艺术机构。近年，先后策划当代艺术展览在上海chi K11美术馆，上海天文馆，上海震旦博物馆等公共机构，和北京伯年艺术空间，北京之谷艺术空间，北京槐轩空间，北京三远当代艺术中心等艺术机构，同时与上海西岸美高梅酒店，北京艺术保税区，北京泓晟国际中心，北京宸园等亦有紧密合作。

Born in 1983 in Beijing, Cao Yu graduated from the School of Humanities of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the National School of Administration with a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA), and has successively worked in art institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, Today's Art Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In recent years, he has curated contemporary art exhibitions in public institutions such as Shanghai chi K11 Art Museum, Shanghai Planetarium, Shanghai AURORA Museum, and art institutions such as Beijing Bornian Art Space, Beijing Zhigu Art Space, Beijing Huixuan Art Space, Beijing Sanyuan Contemporary Art Centre, etc. He also works closely with MGM MACAU on the West Coast of Shanghai, Beijing Art Bonded Zone, Beijing Hongsheng International Centre, and Beijing Chenyuan.
