West bund voice | 当代艺术与地方文化记忆激活

在11月10日即将开幕的展览“旷野之外”中，和美术馆特别邀请艺术家博斯科 · 索迪于佛山当地的龙窑进行了场域特定创作。索迪在艺术家的身份之外，也同时运营自己位于墨西哥瓦哈卡的非盈利艺术中心，致力于建立当代艺术与当地社区的链接。

地处非文化中心城市与地区的艺术机构应如何通过当代艺术和全球化实践激活本土文化记忆，推动所在社区建立一种更客观、包容、开放的文化身份认同？论坛邀请和美术馆执行馆长邵舒以及艺术家博斯科·索迪就此问题共同探讨。

In the upcoming exhibition Beyond Wilderness, opening on November 10, He Art Museum has invited artist Bosco Sodi to create a site-specific installation using bricks fired at Foshan’s ancient Dragon Kiln. In addition to his work as an artist, Sodi runs a non-profit art center in Oaxaca, Mexico, dedicated to fostering exchanges between contemporary art and local communities.

How can art institutions located at cultural peripheries revitalize local cultural memory through contemporary art and their globalized practices, and in turn, stimulate a more objective, inclusive, and open cultural identity within their communities? The forum invites He Art Museum's Director, Shaw Shu, and artist Bosco Sodi, to explore the question together.
