Adria Sartore
Adria Sartore (b.1969, Genoa) currently lives and works in Genoa. She graduated from the Brea Academy of Arts, the University of Genoa and the Sorbonne University in Paris, with a doctorate in aesthetics and philosophy, from 1990 to 1997. In 2004, her work was selected for the BP Portrait Award and was invited to exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London.Italy's traditional cultural heritage, fairy tales and classical art are all nutrients in Adria’s genes, and she is especially fond of presenting the emotions in her life and visual memory in a palm-sized scale. By using the medium of traditional oil painting on wood, the artist constructs a series of new "mythical" scenes with a small view, which is a synthesis of graphic exploration and symbolic concepts. She makes good use of characters and symbols, and uses a third-person perspective to change the relationship between people and objects in the original work, as if breaking into an over-sacred story, making it present a sense of humor and humor. Beauty and grotesque, praise and disgust, these contradictory emotions run through the works, presenting a strong tension between the two poles, which is also the meaning that the artist is committed to exploring and pursuing.

Eric Zetterquist (1962- ) studied contemporary photographic expression and oriental antique art while working for Japanese modern artist Hiroshi Sugimoto (1948- ) for 10 years until 1992. Today he is based in New York. “Object Portraits”, mainly portraits of antique ceramics, is a series of highly sophisticated, abstract expressions of the details of antique ceramics. Zetterquist describes this series as an “East-Meets-West and Old-Meets-New” project, and mentions that he was inspired by hard-edge artworks and Song ceramics. In fact, some of his works suggest influence of Song landscape paintings while other works are reminiscent of modernist composition as exemplified in Alexander Calder (1898-1976) ’s works.
In 1992, he established Zetterquist Galleries in New York, specialising in Chinese art and ceramics. Zetterquist's photographs have been exhibited in The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka (2018), Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum in Bangkok (2016), Philadelphia Museum of Art (2014) and so on, and his book Object Portraits was published by Nazraeli Press in 2018.

Friedrich Einhoff, born in Magdeburg in 1936, deceased in Hamburg in 2018.In 2009 he was awarded the Hans Platschek Prize for Art and Writing, he has been described as "the man who put Hamburg on the map of German art" and "a wanderer between genres". Since the 1960s, he has been one of the most important expressionist artists in contemporary German art.
Born in pre-World War II Germany, the long period of war and illness he experienced as a child led him to imagine a Gegenwelten, or parallel world, which for him was an unexamined zone between the "visible" and "invisible" sides of the human condition. Therefore, Einhoff’s figures all have a kind of bounded glamour, they may have blurred features or mutilated bodies, the artist uses the expression of "alienation" to create still life-like figures, so that they always have a sense of detachment from the picture space.
Lyota Yagi was born in 1980 and graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts. He currently lives and works in Kyoto, Japan. He focuses on sound art, sculpture, video and interactive installations. The artist strives to break the limits of human perception and learning attitudes by thinking dialectically, and advocates the discovery of content that is beyond the norm.He reorganizes and forms a completely new order of existing objects and established systems, thus inspiring the viewer's perceptual and functional experience.
With the beginning of the information era, media constantly penetrates in all fields. In order to avoid following the mainstream, Lyota Yagi adapts an information archaeological and anthropological perspective, as well as his personal humor. He creates profound and even romantic interpretations and references to the media of the "pre-information age".Yagi’s works concentrate on the five senses and time.In recent years, he has even explored to the realm of "geological time”, and juxtaposed and reconstructed the relationship between different medias. From the CDs and tapes, things that are out of our sights at the moment, to the petroglyphs and stone sculptures of the Lascaux Caves, papers and tapes live in symbiosis, stonewares and prints dance in unison. The artist uses a contemporary rebellion to work against the instincts of indoctrination. The art will transcend time and medium. Creativity always enlights us to learn and reflect on the unknown of the "past”, and to gain an artistic perspective to re-examine the medium and media.

Infuenced by a combination of history, era, family and region, this post-80s artist has accidentally and inevitably become "an explorer and practitioner of the spirit of classical Chinese sculpture”.In the artist's personal creation myth system, which he creates layer by layer, he embodies the reproduction and narration of his ideology, the study of ancient works and their contemporary contextualization and translation. He currently lives and works in Trodden, Italy and Berlin, Germany. His paintings are between abstract and figurative, not concrete individual objects, but descriptions of the anonymous illusion. His portrait paintings are mysterious and out of focus. They have a calm perspective and blurry contour. The Interior series he created present high saturated colors and spatial structure made by extremely simple geometric forms. The unreachable horizon stimulates viewers’ wishes to pursue the other side of the world and shows a sense of silence and invisibility that transcends the actual time and real existence.Robert Bosisio’s paintings have been exhibited in many critical international exhibitions, such as the 54th International Art Biennale Exhibition Venice, BP Portrait Award, 2020. His paintings are also collected by art institutions and personal collectors, such as the Hugo Voeten Foundation and one of the most famous Oscar award film directors, Wim Wenders.“It is important to me that my paintings remain simple, calm, and factual“. Robert Bosisio seriously defends the legitimacy of paintings and explores the boundaries of the painting with an independent and earnest perspective.
