大未來林舍畫廊將於2024年ART021上海廿一當代藝術博覽會，推出現當代藝術家吳大羽、陳道明、趙趙、申亮、徐華翎、楊伯都、賴九岑、劉時棟與作田優希的創作，探索藝術家如何以當代的手法與視角展開對東方美學主題的挑選與詮釋，表現對傳統承繼的同時，勾勒出獨樹一幟的風格樣貌，並進一步延伸出全新的視覺語境。

Lin & Lin Gallery is pleased to participate in the ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair 2024, showcasing the artworks by modern and contemporary artists Wu Da-Yu, Chen Tao-Ming, Lai Chiu-Chen, Liu Shih-Tung, Zhao Zhao, Shen Liang, Xu Hualing, Yang Bodu, and Yuki Sakuta. To explore how artists select and interpret the oriental aesthetics topics with contemporary approaches and perspectives. While expressing the succession of tradition, they depict and present the unique styles and further extend the new visual narrative context.

徐華翎 Xu Hualing

徐華翎的創作取材自當代女性的青春形象、日常周遭等生活元素，「繁亂的線條」和「淡淡的色彩」是其作品中顯著的特點。藝術家有意識地規避傳統工筆畫中對勾線的強調，在弱化的光影對比中，淡淡矇矓的色彩暈染出若有似無的形體，作品同時引入攝影圖像豐富了畫面的層次感，將傳統工筆的寫實與攝影印刷的真實同置於畫面中，展現藝術家眼中如白日夢般的世界。

Xu Hualing 's works are inspired by the youthful images of contemporary women and her daily surroundings. All the time, intricate line and pale colors have always been the distinctive features of Xu's works. She consciously avoids delineating the outlines in traditional Gongbi painting. Instead, she uses light and shade and purposefully weakens the contrast. The pale colors render the blurring of a faint and misty figure. Xu also places the realism of traditional brushwork and the reality of photographic printing on the same surface enriches the hierarchy of the picture, showing the world like a daydream in her eyes.

徐華翎，1975年生於中國黑龍江，任教於中央美術學院中國畫學院，教授，博士生導師。2000年獲中央美術學院中國畫系，學士學位。2003年獲獲中央美術學院中國畫系，碩士學位。自2001年始，先後在北京、紐約、三藩市、倫敦、阿姆斯特丹、南京、上海、奧爾登堡、東京和悉尼等多處城市參展。

Xu Hualing was born in Heilongjiang, China in 1975, Xu currently teaches in the Department of Chinese Painting, Chinese Painting at Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). She graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting at CAFA in 2000, graduated with a master’s degree in 2016, and receives a doctorate in 2020 by CAFA. Since 2001, she has had exhibitions in Beijing, New York, San Francisco, London, Amsterdam, Nanjing, Shanghai, Oldenburg, Tokyo and Sydney.
