手与爪相扣，肌肤与皮毛相接，人与宠物之间，交织出一种无法割舍的深厚纽带，这段缘分始于一万四千多年前。这种彼此依赖而充满爱的关系，让我们成为对方健康与幸福的重要基石。

Hand against paw, skin against fur. Man and pet, an inseparable bond, a relationship that begun more than 14,000 years ago. A mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship that is considered crucial for the health and well-being of both parties.

它们教会我们如何共情，如何表达爱，如何承担责任。

They teach us about empathy, about how to show love and take responsibility.

它们能抚慰我们的孤独，融入我们的家庭，成为不可或缺的一员。

They can ease our loneliness and be fully incorporated into our family.

我们给它们穿衣服，让它们走秀，赋予它们重要的角色，让它们成为我们童话中的主人公，并将我们的文化信仰投射到它们身上。

We dress them up, put them on catwalks, give them important jobs, let them be the main protagonists in our fairytales, and project our own cultural beliefs onto them.

宠物已成为我们生活中的常伴之友。我们珍视它们的个性与智慧和无条件的爱，也感谢它们接受我们本来的样子。

事实上，研究发现，当我们与宠物共度时光时，会增加脑内催产素分泌，就像母亲在哺乳时一样，让人心情放松且愉悦。

Pets have become our constant life companions. We value them for their personalities and intelligence, for the unconditional belonging, and how they accept us just the way we are. 

It’s been found that the production of oxytocin increases when we spend time with our pets, in the same way as when a mother is breastfeeding her baby.

对于艺术家来说，我们的四脚朋友们往往不仅限于作为同伴。从历史上看，宠物常常以象征性的方式被描绘，以反映出它们主人的品质特征。我们都见过在油画中，“狗”是 “忠诚”的象征，把代表忠诚的狗当作绘画的主题，象征了主人的忠贞与地位。

For artists, our four-legged friends are often more than simply companions. Historically, pets have often been portrayed symbolically in order to tell us something about the owner’s character. We’ve all seen oil paintings where dogs are representing their masters’ loyalty and status.

如今，这些图像有着更多不同的功能。互联网充满了搞笑的猫、可爱的兔子和跳舞的鹦鹉的视频，它们可以在我们度过糟糕的一天时让我们开心一笑，治愈我们的生活。

Today, the pictures have more different functions. Internet is, for instance, full of videos of funny cats, cute rabbits, and dancing parrots that can make us smile when we’re having a bad day.

在即将于12月7日开幕的宠物主题摄影展《宠物总动员》中，将展出24位来自全球各地艺术家的作品，他们以不同的方式描绘了对宠物的深厚爱意。通过这次展览，我们希望致敬并感谢这些始终陪伴我们左右的伙伴们，并肯定它们在艺术与流行文化中的独特存在。

“究竟是谁拥有谁？谁陪伴谁？” —— 我们与宠物之间的彼此依赖不禁让人思考。在展览现场，等你来解答。

"The Pet Show", which will be open soon from December 7th, will showc works by 24 artists that have all chosen to portray pets in different ways. The common factor of all the artists in this exhibition is the great love they have for the pets. With this exhibition we want to celebrate and acknowledge our constant companions, and their presence in art and popular culture.

Our mutual dependence leads to the question, “who owns whom?” We look forward to your thought.
