“中西融合”是20世纪中国近现代美术发展的重要部分,它不仅符合艺术发展的规律路径,更是东西方文化在审美与思想上的融合与互补。这一时期诸多美术大师都曾留学法国,继而以更丰富的视野追寻中国绘画的现代表达。中法两国数百年的艺术交流,不仅是在艺术风格上的相互借鉴,更是构成了东西方文明在哲学、情感、历史与文化深层次的对话。
法兰西艺术院(Académie des Beaux-Arts)作为法国最具历史与影响力的艺术机构之一,在多个艺术领域深刻影响着法国乃至全球的艺术发展。本次展览精心遴选法兰西艺术院朱德群、赵无极、吴为山、让·卡尔多(Jean Cardot)、克洛德 · 阿巴吉(Claude Abeille)、皮埃尔-伊夫·特雷莫瓦(Pierre-Yves Tre?mois)等10位中法艺术大师的90余件作品,以艺术家的独行轨迹为切入点,在彼此的“远行”“往来”与“追寻”中呈现他们对自然生态、宇宙万物、人类演变和社会变革等议题的深刻思考。
广东美术馆始终坚持以促进国际艺术交流为使命,以多元化的展览推动中西文化之间的交融与共鸣。在全球化语境下,本次展览将呈现一场横亘中西、跨越时代的艺术盛宴,希望观众在其中感受到文明交汇的深刻意蕴与艺术语言的无限可能。
The "blending of East and West" is a central concept in the development of modern Chinese art in the twentieth century, and a symbol of the aesthetic and intellectual fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. During this period, many masters studied in France, and then pursued the modern expression of Chinese painting with a richer vision. The centuries-long artistic exchanges between China and France were not only a mutual borrowing of styles, but also a dialogue between Eastern and Western civilizations in terms of philosophy, emotion, history and culture.
As one of the most historical and influential art institutions in France, the Académie des Beaux-Arts has had a profound impact on the development of art in France and around the world. In this exhibition, more than 90 works by 10 Chinese and French masters of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, including Chu Teh-chun, Zao Wou-ki, Wu Weishan, Jean Cardot, Claude Abeille, Pierre-Yves Trémois, etc., have been carefully selected, and the solo journeys of these artists are used as a starting point for this exhibition to explore each other's "long-distance journey". In the course of their "travels", "exchanges" and "pursuits", the artists present their profound thoughts on natural ecology, the universe, the evolution of mankind and social change.
The Guangdong Museum of Art has always adhered to the cultural mission of "promoting international art exchanges", and promotes the fusion and resonance between Chinese and Western cultures through diversified exhibitions. In the context of globalization, this exhibition will present an art feast that spans across the East and the West and across the ages, and we hope that the audience will feel the profound meaning of the intersection of civilizations and the infinite possibilities of artistic language.

“第四届当代水墨空间”源于第一届展览所揭示的当代水墨艺术的滥觞之年——1980年。在此四十余年间,当代水墨艺术在不断地突破与转向中,历经诸多尝试,当代水墨的“合法性”已得到了确认,并逐渐演变为一个巨大的镜像。然而,这个镜像是否需要再次被打破?最初的问题意识与忧患意识是否已经被削弱?这些都成为值得深入探讨的议题。在当代艺术语境中,水墨实验不仅是对西方艺术的回应,更是对本土艺术语言的深度探索。
本次展览旨在重新审视水墨艺术的内在空间,追溯诗、书、画、印四种艺术形式的复合关系,试图突破传统水墨的局限,开启一个更开阔多元的艺术表达新纪元。展览将打破传统展陈模式,邀请11位艺术家李津、李邦耀、刘进安、刘彦湖、丘挺、王天德、王璜生、王绍强、邬一名、严善錞、朱建忠,将他们的诗文、书写、图像融合,构建成对话性空间。重新组构“诗书画印”的关系,从而达到重新思考当代水墨的文化意义与目的。
The "Fourth Contemporary Ink Space" originates from the year 1980, recognized as the inception of contemporary ink art during the first exhibition. Over more than four decades, contemporary ink art has undergone numerous breakthroughs and transformations, solidifying its "legitimacy" and evolving into a significant mirror of artistic expression. However, does this mirror need to be shattered once more? Have the initial concerns and critical consciousness been diluted? These are profound questions worthy of exploration. In the context of contemporary art, ink experimentation is not merely a response to Western art but also a deep exploration of indigenous artistic language.
This exhibition aims to reassess the intrinsic space of ink art by tracing the interconnectedness of the four art forms—poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal engraving—seeking to transcend the limitations of traditional ink art and usher in a broader and more diverse era of artistic expression.
Breaking away from conventional exhibition formats, the show invites 11 artists—Li Jin, Li Bangyao, Liu Jin’an, Liu Yanhua, Qiu Ting, Wang Tiande, Wang Huangsheng, Wang Shaoqiang, Wu Yiming, Yan Shanchun and Zhu Jianzhong—to integrate their poetry, writings, and imagery into a dialogic space. This reconstitution of the relationships among "poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal engraving" aims to inspire a renewed reflection on the cultural significance of contemporary ink art.

斯特凡·杰罗夫斯基(Stefan Gierowski, 1925-2022)出生在波兰一个显赫的家庭,曾在华沙生活和教授艺术,是欧洲战后最重要的抽象画家之一。由于西欧和美国艺术在世界范围内的主导地位,波兰艺术未能获得应有的关注,尽管如此,杰罗夫斯基一直活跃在国际艺术舞台,其作品在贝尔格莱德、纽约、布鲁塞尔和布宜诺斯艾利斯等城市展出。他的首个个人展览于1961年在巴黎举办;同年参与了纽约现代艺术博物馆(MoMA)举办的重要展览《15位波兰画家》,并于1968年代表波兰馆参加了威尼斯双年展。
本次展览包含四个部分,第一部分展示了杰罗夫斯基对科学的兴趣,以及他如何在绘画中与科学和早期太空探索产生联系;第二部分探讨他与“虚无”这一源于中国的哲学概念的关系;第三部分聚焦他对色彩的探索;最后一部分则展出他的水彩画作品。四个部分皆以“光”的主题贯穿:探讨光作为一种物质属性;光作为一种精神属性;光作为色彩的条件。
Stefan Gierowski (1925-2022) was one of the most important postwar European abstract painters. The exhibition ‘That’s How the Light Gets in: The Art of Stefan Gierowski’ was shown in July 2024 in CAFA Art Museum, Beijing. Recently Gierowski has been enjoying a great deal of attention. The Centre Pompidou has acquired one of his paintings and he was shown in last year’s Chengdu Biennale and in one of the opening exhibitions at the new Guangdong Museum of Art.
The dominance of Western European and US art has meant that Polish art, like Chinese art, has not been given the attention it deserves. This exhibition has four elements: Gierowski was very interested in science and the first part of the exhibition will explore how his paintings engaged with science and with the earliest days of space exploration; the second part will explore his relationship with the idea of the void (drawn from Chinese philosophy); and the third section will look at his exploration of colour. The last section will showcase his watercolours.
Through all the sections runs the idea of light: light as a material property; light as a spiritual property; light as the condition of colour.

“绿美广东”是广东省为深入贯彻习近平生态文明思想而绘制的一幅宏大蓝图,这一愿景以“绿水青山就是金山银山”为核心理念,致力于在高质量发展的道路上塑造一个和谐共生的生态未来。这一生态建设战略在广袤的南粤大地上逐步铺展,致力于构筑人与自然的共融共生、绿色惠民的生态体系。
本次展览以沉浸式多媒体的艺术手段,探索岭南大地上自然与文化交织而生的深邃关系,呈现出广东独特的生态美学与人文精神。艺术家团队以岭南生态为基础,结合哲学思辨与人文关怀,勾勒出人与自然和谐共生的视觉叙事。
The Initiative of ‘Green and Beautiful Guangdong’ is an ambitious blueprint drawn up by Guangdong Province as an in-depth implementation of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilisation. With the core concept of “green mountains are golden mountains”, this vision is committed to shaping a harmonious and symbiotic ecological future on the road to high-quality development. This ecological construction strategy has been gradually rolled out on the vast land of Guangdong, and is committed to constructing an ecological system in which human beings and nature are in harmony and symbiosis.
This exhibition uses immersive multimedia artistic means to explore the profound relationship between nature and culture intertwined on the land of Lingnan, presenting Guangdong's unique ecological aesthetics and humanistic spirit. Based on the ecology of Lingnan, the artist team combines philosophical discourse and humanistic concern to outline a visual narrative of harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature.
