李淜在1975年出生于江西于都，1998年毕业于江西师范大学美术系，获学士学位；2008年毕业于上海大学美术学院油画系，获硕士学位；2008年至今任职于上海油画雕塑院。李淜创作中的绘画素材来源于广泛开阔的社会、历史、政治、人文、日常景观中，但并不拘囿于对素材的单纯的照搬，通常会对原始素材在搬上画布之前进行修剪，截取，重排有时甚至篡改。通过选择性地重建图像元素，剥离其真实的的客观属性，从而通往某种“失真”，在其中灰蒙、通透、幽闭，且闪烁着记忆的光晕。

Li Peng was born in Yudu, Jiangxi Province in 1975, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jiangxi Normal University with a bachelor's degree in 1998 and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University with a master's degree in 2008, and has been working at the Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute since 2008. The painting materials in Li Peng's creations come from a wide range of social, historical, political, humanistic, and daily landscapes, but he is not limited to simply copying the materials. The original materials are usually trimmed and intercepted before being put on the canvas. , rearrangement, and sometimes even tampering. By selectively reconstructing image elements and stripping away their real objective attributes, we lead to a certain kind of "distortion", in which it is gray, transparent, claustrophobic, and shimmering with the aura of memory.
