2025年7月12日下午15:00，王波老师的个展《返景》于出入艺术画廊盛大启幕！三十余件凝聚着艺术家对色彩搭配与空间结构深度思考的作品，引领观者共赴了一场视觉盛宴。

At 3:00 PM on July 12, 2025, artist Wang Bo's solo exhibition Advancing Through the Landscape grandly opened at In and Out Gallery. Featuring over 30 works that embody the artist’s deep exploration of colors and spatial structure, the exhibition offers viewers a rich and immersive visual experience.

王波老师首先表达了自己的感谢。他认为，此次在宁波举办个展，是艺术家与这座城市再度连接的重要契机。展览得以呈现，离不开出入艺术画廊团队的全力支持，特别感谢潘高峰先生的推动与协助。艺术家曾于2023年作为诺丁汉大学的驻校艺术家在宁波生活一个多月，期间结识了许多本地的学者与朋友，此次开幕再聚首，更添意义。

Wang Bo began his speech by expressing his heartfelt gratitude. He noted that holding a solo exhibition in Ningbo marks a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with the city. He emphasized that the realization of this exhibition would not have been possible without the dedicated support of the In and Out Gallery team, and extended special thanks to Mr. Pan for his guidance and assistance.

Wang previously spent over a month living in Ningbo in 2023 while serving as an artist-in-residence at the University of Nottingham Ningbo. During that time, he built valuable connections with local scholars and friends. Reuniting with many of them at this opening added an extra layer of significance to the occasion.

对于此次个展，王波老师解释，展览题目“返景”取自王维《鹿柴》诗句“返景入深林”，灵感源自一本关于该诗十九种译本的研究著作。在阅读中，他受到启发，将“返景”作为探讨视觉经验与空间意识的入口。

Speaking about this exhibition, Wang Bo explained that the title Advancing through the Landscape is inspired by a line from Wang Wei’s poem Deer Enclosure: “Reflected light enters the deep forest.” The idea came from a book that explores nineteen different English translations of the poem. While reading it, he found new inspiration and chose “reflected light” (fanying) as a starting point for exploring visual perception and spatial awareness.

本次展览集中呈现了王波近年来创作的四个系列，包括多件近两年的新作。作品围绕空间、感知与图像生成展开，延续其一贯的实践脉络，亦展现其不断演进的艺术语言。艺术家期待观众在观看过程中生成各自的解读，共同参与“返景”的感知与再造。

The exhibition showcases four major series that Wang Bo has developed in recent years, including several newly completed works from the past two years. His practice continues to explore themes of space, perception, and image construction—extending a consistent line of inquiry while also revealing an evolving artistic language. Wang hopes viewers will bring their own interpretations to the work, becoming active participants in the perception and reinvention of Advancing through the Landscape.

Following Wang Bo’s speech, Mr. Pan Gaofeng, founder of In and Out Gallery shared appreciation to all the guests for attending. He then offered special appreciation to the artist for traveling to Ningbo for the opening, and extended his best wishes for the success of the exhibition.
