如恩快讯 | 普林斯顿大学建筑学院主题群展The House Transformed

如恩受邀参加2025年秋季学期在普林斯顿大学建筑学院展览空间举办的主题群展The House Transformed。本次展览由普林斯顿大学建筑学院院长Mónica Ponce de León策展，将于9月25日开幕，并展陈至2026年1月9日。

Neri&Hu has been invited to participate in the exhibition The House Transformed at the Princeton University School of Architecture Gallery during the Fall 2025 semester. The exhibition, curated by Mónica Ponce de León, Dean of the Princeton University School of Architecture, will be on view from September 25, 2025, to January 9, 2026.

本次展览主要关注单个家庭的生活尺度，而非试图解决大型住宅项目的复杂问题。展览通过聚焦日常生活的小尺度空间，以图纸、模型以及建筑实例为载体，探讨那些常被忽视却根植于文化语境之中的居住理念。

The exhibition modestly focuses on the scale of one household, and does not attempt to address the complex issues of large-scale housing projects. Centering on the realities of an intimate small scale that supports our daily life, The House Transformed features drawings, models, and a few buildings that speculate about culturally embedded domestic ideas often left at the margins of our conversations about the power of architecture.

如恩将以概念作品Double Split House参展，该作品将上海一栋传统四层双开间里弄住宅改造为一座兼具独立与共存关系的住宅：既满足多代同堂家庭的居住需求，同时为两名单身租户提供独立空间。设计在原有建筑框架中嵌入了一套新的楼梯系统，在保留错层形态的同时重新组织了室内功能布局。楼梯以木材与金属材质呈现，构建出两条循环动线：一条供家庭成员使用，一条供租户使用，在空间中营造出交汇、碰撞与亲密的瞬间。

Neri&Hu will be presenting the project Double Split House at the exhibition, which coverts a traditional 4-story double-bay lilong house in Shanghai into a "split house," accommodating an imagined collective of a multigenerational family alongside two single-household tenants. A new stair network is inserted within the building shell preserves the split-level formation while disrupting and reorganizing interior programs. Expressed in wood and metal, the staircase forms two circulation routes—family and tenant—allowing moments of convergence, friction and mediated intimacy.
