本期“读懂艺术家”系列推文聚焦“潜象:隐匿的真实——中日韩抽象艺术展”,把镜头对准二十世纪中叶以来十五位中日韩艺术家如何在抽离与返观之间,让线条、色面、质地成为时间的容器。展览不追潮流,不编年叙事,只让作品在暗合呼吸的节奏里彼此映照:山水的余影、书写的骨力、漆层的体温、水滴的执念……它们共同构成一条“东方抽象”的潜流——既与欧美现代主义保持批判距离,又把日常修行、物性伦理与历史伤痕编织进画面。我们邀请读者暂时搁置“像不像”的旧标尺,把展厅当作静室,去聆听那些几乎听不见的“材料低语”,辨认抽象深处尚未被命名的情感坐标。

在“潜象”的暗涌里,两位坐标式人物将率先登场:
金昌烈 (Kim Tschang-Yeul,1929–2021)
李禹焕 (Lee Ufan, 1936-)
金昌烈(1929–2021),生于韩国平安南道孟山郡,毕业于首尔大学美术学院。1969年定居巴黎后开创“水滴”系列作品,其创作融合抒情抽象、波普艺术与中国书法,通过透明水珠表现记忆、存在与净化。
Kim Tschang-Yeul (1929–2021) was born in Maengsan, South Pyongan Province, South Korea and graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Seoul National University. After settling in Paris in 1969, he pioneered his Water Drop series, blending lyrical abstraction, Pop Art, and Chinese calligraphy. He used water drops as his signature motif, expressing memory, existence, and purification.

金昌烈以水滴为创作符号,通过透明水珠表现记忆、存在与净化。他常将水滴与绘画表面融合,呈现光影与物质的层次感。其作品在国际现代艺术领域广受关注。
Kim Tschang-Yeul uses water drops as his signature motif, expressing memory, existence, and purification. He integrates water drops into the painting surface, creating layers of light and material, earning wide recognition in international modern art.
李禹焕,1936年生于韩国庆尚南道,1956年赴日,1961年毕业于日本大学哲学系,现于东京、首尔等地工作。他是“物派”(Mono-ha)的核心人物之一,关注材料、空间与感知的关系, 推动了日本及国际极简与观念艺术的发展。
Lee Ufan was born in 1936 in Haman, South Korea, and moved to Japan in 1956, graduating from Nihon University with a degree in Philosophy in 1961. He works in cities such as Tokyo and Seoul. He is a key figure in the Mono-ha movement, exploring the relationship between materials, space, and perception. He has significantly contributed to the development of minimalist and conceptual art in Japan and internationally.

李禹焕的创作强调存在与空白的对话,“从点开始”与“从线开始”是其代表性系列作品。画作以点或线为起点,逐渐褪色的颜色在画布中延伸,展现了他挥笔创作的身体与媒材、画布之间碰撞的全过程。
Lee Ufan's work emphasizes the dialogue between presence and absence. From Point and From Line have become his signature series of works. Beginning with points and lines, repeated gestures in gradually fading blue extend across the canvas like breaths, revealing the entire process in which the artist’s body, the brush, and pure material encounter the surface of the canvas.
