Yang Haisong has long stood at the intersection of words and sound. As a poet, musician, and publisher, he cuts through the silence of his time from multiple positions.

In this lecture, he invites us to dive together into the undercurrents where creation takes place—where music begins, where poetry first stirs, and where the most restless and most honest moment of all artistic creation emerges. Yang Haisong will share how he captures and tames this zone of chaos: from the tense, poetic lyrics of his band P.K.14, to the aesthetic construction of independent music under Maybe Mars Records, and further to the countless young, burning texts he has encountered in his work as an editor. This is not a technical breakdown of how to create, but a return to the source of why we create. Together, we will reclaim the “throat” that belongs to each of us—listening, before reason passes judgment on right and wrong, to those impatient voices rising from deep within life itself, voices that must be spoken.
