我爱我的车
[一辆进口的Nissan Cedric Y31。作为摆渡车它满是上世纪的东京风格。汽车胶味裹了上来,混着特有的皮革气息,绕着人打转,倒像把冬日风光缩在了橡胶上]
它有种奇怪的拼凑感,感觉就是和德国车不一样。
德国车感觉如何?
就像是被拧在一起的。所有声音,比如咔嗒声,听这个[按安全扣声音]。感觉并不美好。
但我记得以前每次我坐进Cedric,即使车子是化油器的依然非常平顺。靠拢一种美式感,软乎乎的舒服。

你知道吗,90年代富人排队买这辆车。零件凑在一起像辆欧洲车,可没拧成一股紧绷劲儿;人凑在一起争着自说自话,没人真正听进心里。
德国不是有句谚语嘛,‘反正大家都用水做饭’——意思是汤再好喝,底子还是水。这里面藏着个诀窍,别被表面的东西骗了,咱们本质上都从同一个起点出发。
你试过在这车里回头吗?它看着宽敞,你以为后面能看到很棒的景色,但实际上只有正面能看到好景。你几乎看不到后视镜或车侧。别回头看,只要向前走。资本主义的汽车。
车带来的感官剥夺感。外面太吵了,只要关上窗户,你就在一个舒适的小舱里穿越太空。
“静默”,比再多的话语都管用,我们太敏感了,真是可怕,一点噪音都受不了。机械声盖过了心跳,连亲密都沾了机器味。
嗯,使日常生活中的东西,变得隐形。
我们现在也许可以开车去目的地。
你能住在这附近吗?在这些大房子里?
当然,如果我有Brougham VIP版的话。

兼具“连接”与“隔绝”,Cedric是辆能在冬天冰面上飞驰的车,浑身乌黑,朝着大房子的方向冲过来,车灯能把路边夹缝那儿的“恶作剧者”照得一清二楚。
I'm in Love With My Car
[An imported Nissan Cedric Y31. As a shuttle car, it oozes the vibe of Tokyo from the last century. The smell of rubberized car glue wraps around you, mixed with its one-of-a-kind leather scent, swirling about like winter scenery itself has been pressed into the very rubber]
It has this weird patchwork feel—nothing like a German car, y’know?
What’s it like driving a German car?
Like everything’s been cranked tight together. All those little sounds—clicks, like this [sound of clicking a seatbelt buckle shut]—it’s just not a nice feeling.
But I still remember, every time I slid into this Cedric back in the day, even with its carburetor engine, it ran so smooth. Total American-style ride—soft, plush, just comfy.

Y’know, back in the ’90s, rich folks lined up for this car. Its parts are put together like a European ride, but without that stiff, clamped-down tightness; just like how people gather and talk over one another—no one’s really listening to anyone else.
Isn’t there a German saying? “After all, everyone cooks with water”—meaning no matter how fancy the soup, it’s still just water at its core. There’s a little truth there: don’t get fooled by the gloss; we all start from the same place, deep down.
Ever tried looking backward in this car? It looks so roomy, you’d think you’d have a great view of what’s behind—but really, the only good view’s straight ahead. You can barely make out the side mirrors or what’s on either side. Don’t look back—just keep moving forward. Capitalist car, through and through.
That’s the sensory cocoon this car wraps you in. The outside’s all chaos and noise; roll up the windows, and suddenly you’re gliding through space in your own cozy little pod.
“Silence” says more than any words ever could. We’re way too sensitive these days—it’s kinda scary, how we can’t stand even the tiniest bit of noise. The hum of the engine drowns out the sound of your own heartbeat; even moments of closeness end up smelling like metal and machinery.
Yeah… it makes all the messy stuff of daily life fade into the background.
Let’s hit the road and head to our destination, shall we?
Could you see yourself living around here? In these huge houses?
Oh, absolutely—if I had the Brougham VIP version, that is.
Hell yeah! Let’s cruise to your place and have a good time!
C’mon, let’s go—you know it’ll be fun.

A car that’s both a connection and a barrier, this Cedric can tear across icy winter roads—all sleek black, charging straight for those big houses. Its headlights cut through the dark, lighting up every last “prankster” hiding in the ditches by the roadside.

Lou Nengbin

2017 毕业于中央美术学院版画系,获学士学位

Born in 1989 in Jinan
Graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2017, obtained a Bachelor's degree.
Graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2021, obtained a Master's degree.
娄能斌(b.1989),中央美术学院版画系学士、硕士,现工作生活于北京。他关注声和音的意识同步,对自愿和非自愿的听觉活动进行探索。他通过创作包含以声音研究为线索的版画,雕塑,装置等艺术形式进行对声音和音律科学的本体研究。
Lou Nengbin (b. 1989), graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts; currently works and lives in Beijing. He focuses on the synchronicity of sound and auditory consciousness, exploring both voluntary and involuntary auditory activities. Through creating artworks using printmaking, sculpture, and installations informed by his sound research, he investigates the ontology of the science of sound and acoustics.
关于蔡锦空间
蔡锦空间位于798艺术园区七星东街包豪斯广场的路口一栋老楼上,是艺术家蔡锦的个人工作室。艺术家的想法将在不定期的时间开放这个空间,旨在小范围内的艺术交流与分享。蔡锦希望在未来的时间里组织一些实验类或学术讨论类的艺术活动以及展示一些有特定语言方式和符合在这个空间气质的艺术家的作品。
