前言

这是一场感性与理性的视觉对话与碰撞交流，展示了自然科学与艺术灵感的相辅相成。艺术作为连接自然与科学的桥梁，在学术理性的支撑下绽放出丰富多样的形态。

本次展览将围绕水墨画、水彩画、版画等以“情感表达”为主的作品，以及侧重“科学研究”的植物科学画展开。

观察，是艺术的开始，也是科学的起点。当我们观察自然时，我们究竟在看什么？又是如何去“看”的？这些看似简单的问题背后，映照着艺术与科学交织发展的漫长历程。一幅幅以植物为主角的视觉艺术作品，不仅呈现了人与自然关系的变迁，也承载着观察方式与视角的演进，揭示了人类认知世界的多重维度。

绘画艺术与科学插画尽管创作目的不同，却有着共同的核心——对自然的尊重与观察。艺术创作通过情感化的表达展现自然的意境，而科学插画则通过理性的笔触揭示自然的结构与规律。艺术注重氛围与情感，科学插画则追求精确与真实。

展览透过两种视角的并置，揭示艺术创作与科学研究如何在对自然的深度观察中融汇补充、激发灵感；更通过比照观察自然、表现自然的不同方式，展现科学与艺术在植物描绘上的异同与融合，引导观众思考人类如何从不同视角观察和理解自然。

值此新春之际，深圳美术馆携手深圳市求真插画博物馆（筹），并在深圳市仙湖植物园的支持下，将展览巡展至东湖馆，以艺术与科学之交融开启2026的探索新篇。展览以多元的作品呈现与创新的展陈方式，为观众打造一场兼具知识性与审美性的文化盛宴，邀您共赴自然之约，探寻艺术与科学交织的奇妙世界。

This exhibition presents a visual dialogue and interplay between sensibility and rationality, highlighting how natural science and artistic inspiration complement each other. As a bridge connecting nature and science, art blooms in rich and diverse forms when underpinned by academic rigor.

The exhibition features two categories of works: on the one hand, ink paintings, watercolours, and prints that prioritize emotional expression; on the other hand, botanical scientific illustrations that focus on scientific research.

Observation is the starting point of both art and science. When we observe nature, what exactly are we looking at? And how do we “see”? Behind these seemingly simple questions lies the long, intertwined history of art and science. Each plant-focused visual artwork not only reflects the evolving relationship between humans and nature, but also embodies the progression of observational methods and perspectives, revealing the multiple dimensions through which humans understand the world.

Though created for distinct purposes, artistic paintings and scientific illustrations share a common core: respect and careful observation of nature. Artistic creation conveys the mood of nature through emotional expression, while scientific illustration uncovers the structures and laws of nature with precise, rational brushwork. Art emphasizes ambiance and sentiment; scientific illustration pursues accuracy and authenticity.

By juxtaposing these two perspectives, the exhibition demonstrates how artistic creation and scientific research integrate, complement, and inspire each other through in-depth observation of nature. Furthermore, by comparing different approaches to observing and representing nature, it showcases the similarities, differences, and integration of science and art in botanical depiction, inviting audiences to reflect on how humans observe and understand nature from varied angles.

On the occasion of the Spring Festival, Shenzhen Art Museum, in collaboration with the Truth-Seeking Illustration Museum of Shenzhen and with the support of Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, brings this touring exhibition to its Donghu Venue, kicking off a new journey of exploration for 2026 through the fusion of art and science. Featuring diverse artworks and innovative exhibition design, the show offers audiences a cultural feast that is both intellectually enlightening and aesthetically pleasing. We invite you to embark on this rendezvous with nature and explore the fascinating world where art and science intersect.
