Stainless steel wire, bamboo steamer, glass bottle, agate, balancing instrument, willow branch, air conditioning filter and other composite materials
A stainless steel wire descends from the ceiling, extending to the floor to form a path that is both suspended and traversable. Along this route, objects of varying scales and textures are suspended or placed within the space.
These objects originate from everyday finds and collections, as well as from the spontaneous creations born during moments of crafting and artistic endeavour.
They are not organised into a defined system, nor do they bear fixed symbolic meanings. The relationships between the objects themselves, and between the objects and the space, gradually reveal themselves through viewing and walking.

Turn the page
White steel, mixed media on paper
Turning the page is a rather light-hearted way of putting it. Of course, history is no trifling matter, and may even occasionally prove sharp-edged—perhaps warranting a more cautious approach.

A horizontal elastic band affixed to the wall approximately 30cm above the floor... like a symbolic warning line or water level, serving to store memories and emotions. A slightly ominous, threatening water level that causes no actual harm. This exhibition presents a modified version, an installation created from found objects adapted to the environment.

Spring's warmth nurtures all things to grow,
Plants and trees rise with the mighty wind.
How gracefully they scatter and fall,
Yet my heart stands alone, how lonely!
The seasons rush past me, ceaselessly,
Now I fade into obscurity—what purpose remains?
Human life dwells between heaven and earth,
Suddenly like a bird perching on a withered branch.
Now I fade into obscurity—what purpose remains?

Last winter, the character “福” (blessing) plastered on a construction site's green belt caught my eye. In conventional thinking, blessings are typically placed above the doorframe of a home. Yet these “福” characters, affixed to a temporary green belt, pointed toward an unformed gateway and the future. This misplaced presence disrupted my autopilot state, compelling me to gaze and ponder.
This winter, I rehang various “Fu” characters on that green space almost like a game—sometimes upright, sometimes askew, sometimes overlapping, sometimes suspended alone. I wanted to inject a touch of absurdity and poetry into the mundane, to offer blessings beyond the conventional New Year's fortune.

I cut out trademarks from everyday goods around me and pasted them onto scrolls in my own narrative style, creating scenes that invite everyone to wander through the landscapes of modern commerce. Perhaps you have your own professional landscapes or conceptual vistas—let's make a big deal out of small things together.
Idle Pass
PVC
After enduring a tedious cycle of pain, I chose to do nothing for a while. During this period, I refrained from any activities related to my “main occupation.” I used idleness solely to resist and experience—for I believe idleness should not be viewed pejoratively; it is a natural state shared by all humanity. To those visiting the exhibition, I invite you to do nothing for a moment. Set aside your worries about reality—this is a moment of detachment...

I've jotted down some crazy, spur-of-the-moment ideas here—things I wanted to do but never got around to for various reasons. They're waiting for someone to take action or jot down their own thoughts. Feel free to brainstorm away if you have ideas; just give credit to the original thinker when you bring them to life. No need to worry about copyright here—it's all about thinking and doing.

I gathered the diaries I wrote during my idle days. The entries were ordinary, like a daily log or rough draft. They merely recorded, almost truthfully, the changes I underwent during that period.

This collection of poems draws from conversations on WeChat. I privately messaged friends in our usual group chat: “Can you write me an impromptu poem?” Their swift responses left no time for pretense, revealing their truest selves. In this era, we grow increasingly unable to simply do nothing. Through this poetry collection, I humbly gather the fallen leaves in everyone's hearts.

Ten photography collections dominated by cool tones, this series constructs visual expression through diverse imagery and symbols. The lens serves as a medium for dialogue between self and world, exploring the profound meanings of existence, disappearance, and perception within the interplay of concrete and abstract.

Play Ping-Phone
TV screens, mobile phones
The term “Ping-Phone” is a clever twist on “Ping-Pong,” transforming “playing ping-pong” into “making phone calls”—essentially playing ping-pong with a mobile phone.
The project originated when Shen Tongzhou and Qiu Junlei found themselves without paddles during a ping-pong match but still eager to play. They improvised by using their phones as paddles, launching a “Ping-Phone 100-Point Showdown.” The footage here was captured entirely by the front-facing camera of a mobile phone. To promote “Ping-Phone,” three additional videos were created: a third-person spectator view of the match, a basic tutorial video for “Ping-Phone,” and a front-facing camera perspective showing a ball being continuously bounced.

Image Absence
Raw timber, colour
The artwork transforms a piece of wood into the form of a television set, hollowing out the screen originally intended for displaying images. While the television retains its outward appearance as a “viewable” object, the visual content has been removed. Despite the absence of content, the act of viewing persists. Through this approach, the work shifts attention away from the imagery itself and toward the act of viewing, emphasizing that even when a medium loses its function, the act of watching remains intact.

This self-portrait is a dialogue between myself and my inner self. The canvas is rendered with concrete hues, concealing my tender aspirations for life and an undefined fervour. It is my manner of conversing with the world, and a sanctuary for my soul.
