This time, ARR Gallery presents A Stroll by the Creek, a solo exhibition by artist ￥ouada in Hall B. ￥ouada's work is an improvisational sampling of culture—scrolled-through short videos, read comics, and everyday objects—all turned into visual specimens on the canvas. Through the artist's unique personal style, these familiar pop symbols and subcultural fragments are visually reassembled and given a new appearance. This seemingly irreverent collage is, in fact, a field study as casual as a daily walk—carried out with a self-deprecating, playful pace. ￥ouada's work is not a representation of the real world, but rather a new layer of vernacular expression made from pre-existing cultural fragments. The strolling attitude is about carving out one's own path within an already established cultural map; the meaning of the work lies precisely in the process itself—looking while walking, dismantling while piecing together.
