This exhibition brings together 15 Chinese artists, focusing on the "essence of art" and returning to the pure creation of painting language. Unlike narratives concerned with the composition of the external world, each artist starts from within the language of painting itself, exploring the intrinsic power of color, line, brushstroke, and material. Whether it is an expressive synthesis of realism and freehand brushwork, or a practice that moves from distortion to abstraction and boldly breaks new ground in Eastern and Western color, all artists, through their personal concepts and techniques, question what painting truly is. Art no longer tells a story; instead, it allows the work itself to speak.

The exhibited works span landscapes, still lifes, figures, and abstract compositions. Though diverse in subject matter, they collectively pursue the purification of language. Some artists use translucent brushstrokes to depict coastal scenery, infusing it with the ethereal quality of ink wash. Others employ flat, clean techniques to render everyday imagery, leaving behind warm and intimate emotions. Still others combine calligraphic lines with plastic arts to reflect on the humanistic landscape of a specific era. Particularly noteworthy are works that repeatedly explore a single motif, employing the "boneless (Mogu)" painting method to continuously purify color and form, elevating painting language to a state of remarkable conciseness. These creations bear witness to the growth and power of painting language itself.

All the artists featured in this exhibition have forged their own unique creative paths through their exploration of painting language.
