前言

五十年，一座馆，一城记忆。正值深圳美术馆建馆五十周年之际，深圳美术馆（东湖馆）正以新貌续写艺术篇章。作为“深圳美术记忆殿堂”，东湖馆深植于城市视觉根脉，系统梳理深圳美术的发展历程；同时，它亦是“青年艺术创新发展引擎”，致力于为青年艺术家构筑创作孵化、学术研究与展览交流的综合性平台。这一双重使命，既是对历史的庄重致敬，也是对未来的主动敞开。

“深圳美术馆（东湖馆）青年艺术创研计划”是深圳美术馆与深圳市青年美术家协会联合推出的青年展览系列项目。继“青云筑梦——深圳青年水彩画家邀请展”“青云筑梦——当代青年工笔画家邀请展”“制物生新——当代青年综合材料创作邀请展”之后，“温度——当代青年版画创作邀请展”延续了该系列的精神内核——寄望身处高速发展都市中的青年艺术家，永葆对艺术的赤诚之心，不坠青云之志。本次展览首次在系列项目中聚焦版画艺术门类，以“温度”主题回应这一古老媒介在当代语境中的新可能。

版画自诞生便与“复数性”“传播性”“社会性”紧密相连。在中国当代艺术语境中，版画仍然在不断拓展边界，手工操作、机器复制与数字技术交织纷繁。展览以“温度”为主题，试图在版画的“复数”本质与个体的“情感”表达之间建立桥梁——“温度”既指向物理层面的身体记忆，也指向精神层面的情感联结。在AI图像生成技术日益成熟的今天，版画作为“慢媒介”的价值愈发凸显，承载着数字图像无法替代的“手温”。而“温度”的另一层含义，来自我们对社会现状的持续观察：当代青年与亲友间常缺少深层的情感联结与沟通语言，亲友对艺术家的创作也往往隔着一层迷雾。展览引入“亲友撰文”环节，将亲友根据作品撰写的文字与作品并置——既为亲友打开一扇通往艺术家精神世界的门，也让艺术家的情感经由亲友的文字获得回应。这一设置试图在专家话语之外，将亲友的目光带入公共展示空间，使展览不止于专业批评，也容纳日常情感的渗透。

展览邀请35位来自深圳本土、湾区乃至全国的青年版画家，展出近60件作品。作品形式涵盖架上版画（木版、铜版、石版、丝网版、综合版等）、版画装置、数字版画及影像等多元形态。本次以“温度”为线索串联版画本体、个体情感、亲友记忆与公共传播多个维度，回应中国青年版画界正在展开的关于媒介边界、复数意义与时代语境的讨论。我们期待以此为契机，持续为青年艺术家搭建优质的学术平台，让传统文脉与青春活力在深圳美术馆（东湖馆）交汇，激发属于这个时代的艺术可能。

Preface

Fifty years, one art museum, a city’s collective memory.

As Shenzhen Art Museum celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Donghu Branch is embracing a new chapter in its artistic journey. As the “repository of Shenzhen’s fine arts memory,” the Donghu Branch is deeply rooted in the city’s visual heritage, systematically tracing and presenting the development of fine arts in Shenzhen. At the same time, it serves as an “engine for youth artistic innovation and development,” dedicated to building an integrated platform for young artists that brings together creative incubation, academic research, and exhibition exchange. This dual mission represents both a solemn tribute to history and an active embrace of the future.

The Shenzhen Art Museum (Donghu Branch) Young Artists Research and Development Program is a series of youth-oriented exhibitions jointly initiated by Shenzhen Art Museum and the Shenzhen Young Artists Association. Following Everything Rises Must Converge: An Invitational Exhibition of Watercolor by Young Artists in Shenzhen, Dreams Built on the Azure Clouds: Contemporary Young Artists’ Fine Brushwork Painting Exhibition, and Crafting the New: Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary Mixed-Media Art by Young Artists, Warmth: Contemporary Youth Printmaking Invitational Exhibition continues the program’s core vision: encouraging young artists living in rapidly developing urban environments to remain devoted to artistic exploration and steadfast in their pursuit of creative aspirations. As the first exhibition in the series to focus specifically on printmaking, this exhibition explores new possibilities of this ancient medium in contemporary contexts through the theme of “Warmth.”

Since its emergence, printmaking has been closely associated with the concepts of plurality, dissemination, and social engagement. Within the context of contemporary Chinese art, printmaking continues to expand its boundaries, intertwining handcrafted processes, mechanical reproduction, and digital technology. Through the theme of “Warmth,” the exhibition seeks to build a bridge between the inherent “plurality” of printmaking and the individual expression of emotions.

“Warmth” refers to both physical body memory and emotional connections. In an era when AI-generated imagery is rapidly advancing, printmaking—as a “slow medium”—has gained renewed significance, preserving the irreplaceable trace of the artist’s hand and the warmth of human touch.

Another dimension of “Warmth” emerges from our ongoing observation of contemporary social conditions. Today, young artists often experience a lack of deep emotional communication with family and friends, while those closest to them may find themselves distanced from the inner world of artistic creation. To address this, the exhibition introduces a special section featuring texts written by artists’ family members and friends, placing their words alongside the exhibited works. This approach opens a window for loved ones to enter the artists’ creative and emotional landscapes, while allowing the artists’ feelings to be reflected and responded to through personal narratives. Beyond professional critical discourse, the exhibition invites intimate perspectives into the public exhibition space, creating a dialogue between artistic practice and everyday emotions.

The exhibition brings together 35 young printmakers from Shenzhen, the Greater Bay Area, and across China, presenting nearly 60 works. The artworks encompass diverse forms, including easel printmaking (woodcut, copperplate, lithography, silkscreen, mixed media print, etc.), print installation, digital printmaking, and video art.

Using “Warmth” as a conceptual thread, the exhibition connects the material nature of printmaking, individual emotions, personal memories, and public communication. It responds to ongoing discussions among young Chinese printmakers regarding the boundaries of the medium, the significance of plurality, and the relationship between artistic practice and contemporary realities.

Through this exhibition, we hope to continue building meaningful academic and creative platforms for young artists, allowing traditional cultural heritage and youthful artistic vitality to converge at the Shenzhen Art Museum (Donghu Branch), and inspiring new artistic possibilities for our time.
