白水个展「透明厚度」：透明并非不存在

「透明的厚度」

一张纸被透明墨水写满，干了以后，空无一物。但纸已经不是那张纸了。纤维被重新排列，密度被悄然改写。光照过来的时候，折角处有细碎的闪——那是透明留下的厚度，看不见，却真实存在。

艺术家白水相信透明不代表不存在。她的“生成系列”，就是从这种相信中生长出来的。

Thickness of the Invisible

A sheet of paper, covered entirely in transparent ink, dries to reveal nothing at all. But the paper is no longer the same paper. Its fibers have been rearranged, its density quietly rewritten. When light falls upon it, the creases catch with faint, fragmented glimmers—the thickness left behind by transparency, invisible, yet undeniably real. Artist Baishui believes that transparency does not mean non-existence. Her "Generative Series" grows out of this very belief.

三千片湖水的聚散

“生成系列”来自白水的创作实践“道法三千”项目：一张图像被拆成三千片碎片，再重新聚拢——像把湖水分作水滴，又看着它们汇回原形。

远看还是那片水面，近看却已不是原来的波纹。新增的褶皱、错位的叠影、聚散之间留下的微小间隙，都是图像在破碎与重生之间积攒下来的经验。赫拉克利特说，人不能两次踏入同一条河流。白水让同一片水面，在分解与重组中生出无数种波纹，而每一次都是新的。

白水像在山中反复探路的人，走过的每一条岔路都没有消失，它们沉在画面的底层，成为透明的厚度。

The Gathering and Scattering of Three Thousand Lakes

The "Flux Series" emerges from BAISHUI's creative project "Infinite Dao": an image is broken into three thousand fragments, then reassembled—like dividing a lake into droplets, only to watch them converge back into its original form.From a distance, it is still that expanse of water; up close, however, the ripples are no longer the same. The newly added creases, the displaced superimpositions, the tiny gaps left between gathering and scattering—these are all experiences accumulated by the image through its cycles of fragmentation and rebirth. Heraclitus said that one cannot step twice into the same river. Baishui allows the same expanse of water to generate countless variations of ripples through decomposition and recombination, each time becoming something new.Baishui is like one who repeatedly treads paths through the mountains—every fork she has taken has not vanished; they remain submerged in the depths of the picture, becoming layers of transparent thickness.

看点：在十一假期实现鲜花自由+珍珠自由

除了艺术家白水的架上作品作品，整个展厅变成了一座珍珠和鲜花交织的花园。

一只透明的浴缸，珍珠散落其间，鲜花沿着边缘垂落。光穿过玻璃，落在珍珠弧面与花瓣之间——坚硬的光泽与柔软的质地彼此安静地并置。你可以绕着它走，俯身凑近看，蹲下来拍一张仰角，或者站在它面前，把自己放进画面里。没有围栏，不设距离。作品在这里，等你来完成它。

鲜花从各个角落长出来。墙角、画框边缘、浴缸四周——花艺装置铺满了整个空间。大地艺术家克里斯托说过，创造终会消失的东西比创造永存的东西更需要勇气。这些花在展期中会慢慢盛开再慢慢垂落，每一天来，它们都不一样。

十一假期，不用出远门人挤人。和朋友一起在鲜花和珍珠的花园里欣赏艺术。

Highlight: Enjoy  Flowers and Pearls in this National Day Holiday

Beyond artist BAISHUI's easel works, the entire exhibition hall has been transformed into a garden interwoven with pearls and fresh flowers.

A transparent bathtub sits at the center, scattered with pearls, with fresh flowers draping along its edges. Light streams through the glass, falling between the curved surfaces of the pearls and the petals—hard lustre and soft texture quietly juxtaposed. You can walk around it, lean in for a closer look, crouch down for a low-angle shot, or stand before it and place yourself within the frame. No barriers, no distance. The artwork is here, waiting for you to complete it.

Fresh flowers emerge from every corner. On the walls, along the edges of picture frames, around the bathtub—floral installations spread throughout the entire space. The land artist Christo once said that it takes more courage to create something that will disappear than to create something that will last forever. These flowers will slowly bloom and gently wilt over the course of the exhibition—each day you visit, they will look different.

This National Day holiday, there's no need to brave the crowds far from home. Bring your friends and enjoy the art in this garden of flowers and pearls.
